Cambridge Timeline Choir (“the Choir”) is a community choir based in Cambridge. This privacy policy explains how any personal information collected about you is used by the Choir.
Customers
1.1 What information do we collect about you, and how do we collect it?
We sell tickets for our concerts using the Ticket Tailor platform.
When you purchase a ticket for one of our concerts we collect the following information:
– Your name and contact email address
– Payment information
1.2 How do we store your data?
Your information is held securely within the Ticket Tailor platform. Information needed to support your attendance at the concert (your name and the number of tickets purchased) is stored on a secure drive, to which only the Committee Members and Musical Director have access.
A record of your payment is retained within our payment platform (Square) to which only the Treasurers have access.
If you choose to be added to our mailing list either on buying a ticket, or directly through our website, the Choir will keep your contact details until you ask to be removed from our mailing list. You have the right to ask us to remove you from our mailing list at any time. To do this, please email us at cambridgetimelinechoir@gmail.com
1.3 How will we use the information about you?
The information we collect about you is used to manage our box office on the day of our concerts and to record our income from ticket sales. Payment records will be kept for six years for audit and accounting purposes. We will not share your information with third parties.
Members
2.1 What information do we collect about you, and how do we collect it?
When you join the Choir, we collect the following information about you for choir administrative purposes. This information is collected via email or paper sign up sheets at rehearsals.
– Your name and contact email address
– Your attendance at weekly rehearsals
– Your agreement to pay choir subscription fees
On occasion we collect photographic and video recordings of concerts. We will ask for your consent to be included in these recordings.
We also collect, via our bank, a record of your subscription payments, including your bank details.
2.2 How do we store your data?
Information collected for choir administrative purposes is stored on a secure drive, to which only the Committee Members and Musical Director have access. Occasionally information may be included on our website, for example photographs and video recordings.
Information about your subscription payments is held within our banking service to which only the Treasurers and Chair have access. Financial records are kept for six years for audit and accounting purposes.
We also maintain a mailing list and a paper and electronic attendees register. Timeline Choir will keep your contact details until you ask to be removed from our mailing list.
You have the right to ask us to remove you from our mailing list and membership list at any time. To do this, please email us at cambridgetimelinechoir@gmail.com
2.3 How will we use the information about you?
The information we collect about you is used to send you important information about choir activities, such as rehearsal schedules, concert dates, programming and practice resources, as well as to distribute sheet music every term. These emails are sent out by members of the Timeline Choir Committee and the Musical Director. We also occasionally send you information about concerts involving members, projects by other local choirs, and other musical items that we think might be of interest.
If you leave the choir, we hold on to your email address to keep you informed about upcoming concerts and workshops. If you do not want to receive this information please email us at cambridgetimelinechoir@gmail.com.
We will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies. We will only pass on marketing from other companies when it is charitable, local, and likely to be of interest.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please please email us at cambridgetimelinechoir@gmail.com.
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
You have the right to ask us to erase all information we hold about you, with the exception of financial transactions records which we must retain for audit purposes. If you would like to do this, please email us.

Our website contains links to other websites and may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.).
